We have connected at least 78 children with their families. These children and their families are supported and engaged in gaining a skill for their livelihood and future. We have realized that fortifying the wholistic family structure is the best environment for a child. In Vihiga County, we find children as young as 4 years old alone and living with hunger, fear and disease. The bottom line is they need family and support.
The needs of these children are basic. Money to pay school fees, apprentice fees, and hygienic resources, represent a few of the core needs of most children that we encounter. There are more unique needs such as medical support, etc. that arise with each child, and the goal is to secure the resources to meet the needs.
